William A. Matarese, M.D.
William A. Matarese, M.D. is a brilliant physician and works tirelessly to provide advanced orthopedic treatment in New Jersey. As both a board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Matarese is also the Chairman of Orthopedics at Saint Joseph’s Wayne Hospital.
He earned his medical degree from the UConn School of Medicine in 1983 after completing his undergraduate education at Columbia University. He fulfilled a general surgery internship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Montefiore Medical Center and then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center. During his fellowship, he received the highest level of training in total joint arthroplasty and limb lengthening at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York, New York.
Patrizia Tirri, PA-C
Our physician’s assistant, Patrizia Tirri, received her Bachelor of Science from Touro College, and she specializes in orthopedic surgery. This means our patients can rest assured that the entire surgical staff is well-versed in orthopedic medicine, translating to seamless surgical procedures and smoother recoveries for patients.
Robert Looby
Robert F. Looby, PT received his Physical Therapy degree through a joint program from the University of Medicine and Dentistry and Kean University in 1992 and has been practicing Physical Therapy for over 30 years.
Prior to practicing Physical Therapy, Bob has worked as a health and fitness consultant and trainer with certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and other organizations. Mr. Looby has worked in variety of clinical settings and has served as either clinical or administrative director in most.
Bob has treated patients from all diversities including Geriatric, Orthopedic, Neurological, work related injuries, Vestibular, and sports injuries.
Having practicing Physical Therapy for over 30 years Bob has developed personal relationships with many of the Physicians in NJ. Having direct contact with the doctor becomes a significant advantage for the patient.
Communication between the providers enhances the patient’s outcome through the awareness of the progress obtained in Rehabilitation and any concerns developed towards their advancement.
